General Health Information

The cardiovascular system includes the heart, blood vessels, veins, and capillaries. The heart must beat regularly to pump adequate amounts of blood throughout the body so that all body organs and tissues get a continual supply of oxygen and nutrients. A healthy vascular system is open and unobstructed, and rich in magnesium, l-carnitine, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, l-taurine, and many other nutrients, which cumulatively help insure continual cardiovascular health. Optimal cardiovascular health can be maintained by supplying the body with key nutrients throughout our life. Daily intake of critical nutrients helps ensure that our heart and blood vessels are well nourished.

Clogged blood vessels can lead to many serious health problems. Obstruction of the coronary vessels is often preceded by a narrowing of the arteries caused by atherosclerotic deposits made up of cholesterol, lipids, and lipoproteins (commonly referred to as hardening of the arteries). Several dietary factors are thought to influence coronary artery disease by promoting atherosclerosis and/or thrombosis (clotting). Of these dietary factors, the undesirable effects of dietary fat (particularly saturated fat) on homocysteine and cholesterol metabolism are well documented.

The importance of beneficial dietary components such as unsaturated fats (omega 3 & 6 fatty acids), trans fatty acids, antioxidants, herbs and phytonutrients, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and fiber cannot be overlooked and should be considered as supplemental support to cardiovascular health. Further, it is not known whether these effects of diet are additive or interact in a more subtle way. It is clear, however, that coronary artery disease is not controlled by any single characteristic of the diet.

Garlic $21.99
The healthful benefits of garlic have been known since ancient times. Along with being a tasty food herb, it is also widely known for its medicinal properties. Garlic helps to enhance the health of the entire cardiovascular system. It aids in maintaining a healthy cholesterol level and a healthy blood pressure. Garlic also helps maintain a healthy cardiovascular system by "thinning" the blood. Garlic supports the body's immune system, and helps combat bacterial, viral, and fungal attack. While we all love to cook with garlic, its medicinal values are best obtained by taking garlic regularly as a dietary supplement.
Omega Max $18.43
Essential fatty acids have known beneficial effects on our cardiovascular system. Daily intake of essential fatty acids is necessary because our body itself cannot make them. One of their functions is to keep our blood vessels from clogging up, thus preventing blockages from occurring. This helps to ensure an adequate supply of blood to our heart, and throughout our whole body as well.
AntiOxidant Essentials $25.25
Antioxidants help protect the body from the formation of damaging free radicals. They are especially important in helping to prevent damage to the heart muscle itself. Antioxidants are free radical scavengers that neutralize these free radicals, thus guarding against deterioration of the heart and its functions. They are especially important for anyone with lots of physical and mental stress, and stress itself a factor in heart conditions. Some of the ingredients included in this superior blend of antioxidants are:
  • Beta Carotene Vitamins C and E
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine
  • L-Glutathione, Zinc and Selenium
  • Quercetin
